Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Local Custom (1401521 B.C. Ltd., Delta, BC) collects and how we use it. Privacy questions: jay@localcustom.ca.

What we collect

  • Order information: name, email, phone, shipping/billing address, and what you bought. Payment is handled by Shopify's payment providers — we never see your full card number.
  • Personalization details: names and numbers you submit for jerseys and apparel. For youth items these are provided by the adult placing the order and are used only for production.
  • Quote requests: contact details, your message, and any artwork files you upload through our quote form.
  • Site usage: standard analytics and cookies that keep your cart working and help us understand how the store is used.

How we use it

To produce and deliver your order, respond to quote requests, send order updates, meet legal and tax obligations, and improve the store. We only send marketing email if you've opted in, and you can unsubscribe any time. We don't sell personal information.

Who we share it with

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and checkout (data may be stored outside Canada).
  • Google — quote form submissions, including uploaded artwork, are delivered to us through Google's services.
  • Shipping carriers, to deliver your order.
  • Schools and organizations that host team store pickup — pickup lists include your name and order number so your order can be handed to the right person.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as needed to support your order and meet Canadian tax record-keeping requirements. Quote requests and artwork are kept while we might reasonably work together on the project.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and BC's Personal Information Protection Act), you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it. Email jay@localcustom.ca and we'll respond promptly.

Children

Our store is intended for adults. Team store orders for students are placed by parents, guardians, or school staff — we don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged on the site.
