The dashboard gives you a live snapshot of everything in surplus. The four cards at the top show counts for blank items, decorated items, youth-sized items, and total units across all stock. Below that, Recently Added shows the last 8 items entered, newest first — useful for quickly confirming a just-added entry is correct.
+ Add Items
Use this tab to log new surplus items into the system.
1
Style — Start typing a garment name or number (e.g. "18500" or "gildan hoodie"). A dropdown will appear — select the matching style. If a style has youth sizes, the size options will automatically switch to YXS–YXL.
2
Type — Select Blank (undecorated garment) or Decorated (printed/embroidered). If Decorated, a Print Type field will appear — enter a short description like "LMBA Vintage" or "DSS Shield".
3
Qty — Set the number of units using the +/− buttons or type directly.
4
Size — Click the correct size chip. It will turn black to confirm selection.
5
Colour — Type the colour name exactly as you'd say it (e.g. Black, Royal Blue, Sport Grey).
6
Click + Add Another Item to add more rows, or click Save All when done. All rows save in one go.
Each size/colour combination is its own entry. A Black L and a Black M are two separate rows.
◎ Exact Search
Use this when you know exactly what style you're looking for. Start typing a style name or number, select it from the dropdown, then optionally filter by colour or size. Results show all matching inventory grouped by style — useful for checking what you have of a specific garment before placing an order.
◐ Browse
Browse is for general lookups — type anything (colour, size, garment number, print name) and all matching items appear. Use the filter chips to narrow by Blank/Decorated or Youth/Adult. Each result shows a Take One button — click it when a unit leaves the surplus pile. The count decrements immediately and saves to the database. If a quantity hits zero you'll be asked whether to remove the item entirely.
Orange quantity means only 1 left. Red means zero — click Take One to remove.
